Geethanjali Home Decor
As you enter Geethanjali, there is an open courtyard with lovely water liles and small stone fountains. It is a beautiful setting for three large rooms stuffed with antique furniture pieces.
The store was started three generations ago with a view to conserve the rich Indian heritage. They specialize in collecting and restoring colonial furniture from all over south India. Their show room at Pondicherry show cases such traditional antique pieces.
Rose wood antique doors, spice cupboards, four poster cots, carved doors and teak wood book shelves are some of the items on display. In addition, they have some pillars from old homes and wooden sculptures too. They undertake to export their pieces as well. This shop is in the French Quarters in Pondicherry.
