Muga Silk sarees
The handloom section houses very distinctive pure Assam silk saris whose prices start from Rs 6000. Muga silk is the main product of Assam and due to its low porosity, the Muga yarn cannot be bleached or dyed and hence its natural golden color is retained in the fabric.
Others like Pat silk are usually in brilliant white or off-white colour.
Eri Silk /Endi Silk
Eri silk, also known as Endi or Errandi, is soft and warm and is popularly used in shawls and quilts. Pragjyotika also have special bedcovers made from cotton and silk threads starting from Rs 500 per piece.
