Gangotri ( U.P Govt. Emporium)- Uttar Pradesh (U.P) is a State in the North of India bordering Nepal. It is famous for brass artifacts, carpets, marble, silk fabrics and dhokra art.
U,P is home to the largest hand-knotted carpet weaving industry in South Asia. Carpet weaving in the Bhadohi-Mirzapur region dates back to the 16th century. Today, this industry engages around 3.2 million people.

The basement section of this Emporium has a great variety of carpets and durries.
Marble and soapstone are carved to make boxes, Taj Mahal replicas table tops and lamps. Pietra dura, called parchin kari in South Asia, is a term for the inlay technique of using cut and fitted, highly polished colored stones to create images. It is consider a decorative art. Many different colored stones, semiprecious and even precious stones are use with marble in creating these wonderful art pieces. The Emporium has a fine collection of these art pieces.

Banarasi saris are make in Varanasi in U.P, a city which is also call Benares or Banaras. The saris are among the finest in India and are known for their gold and silver brocade or zari, fine silk and opulent embroidery.
