Basavanagudi is a major Bangalore shopping market in the South of Bangalore. It is named after a famous bull temple. ‘Basava’ in Kannada means bull and ‘gudi’ means temple. Another famous Temple is the Dodda Ganapathy temple .
Basavanagudi has a number of shops that are famous for jewellery, ethnic Kanjivaram, Banarasi and silk sarees.
Sri Bhavani Kangan Store is one of the best shops for costume jewellery in Bangalore. The store certainly attracts the brides-to-be with its extensive range of imitation jewellery. Do check here chunky necklaces, jhumars, matha pattis and chains in kundan.
Further, mangalsutras and bangles with 1 gram gold polish are also available at the store. For cosmetics shopping, you need to check the ground floor of their three-storied building. To put it simply, they stock everything to make you party/wedding ready.
Ladies Wear House is another popular store catering to all women on the lookout for bridal wear. They have a good range of traditional South Indian silk sarees ranging from Kanjivaram to the traditional Banarasi silk. Additionally, Silk cotton, kota silk blend, Patola, and Banaras silk cotton are also available at this store.
