What is a Jewellery SET?

A full Jewellery Set comprises of a necklace, earrings, bangles and a ring. Typically gold or diamond sets are available in all the authentic gold jewellery shops.

A  set is gifted to a bride by her parents at the time of the wedding. For e.g. in the State of Kerala, gold sets are given away to the bride. This would include 4 to 6 gold bangles, a necklace, earrings and rings. In addition, the parents could choose to give more necklaces and chains to their daughter. Flipkart has several bridal sets.

Diamond jewellery sets are also popular. Diamond necklaces or long diamond chains are popular.

There are sets embellished with rubies, emeralds, jade and turquoise in some instances.

Similarly a Kundan set is a set with Kundan stones, which are uncut glass and a Polki set is  with uncut diamonds. The Kundan and Polki jewellery is typically preferred by North Indians.
