Ravissant is a 3-decade-old store run by Ravi and Mina Chawla. As you walk into the store you start experiencing the comfort of luxury shopping. On display are fashionable textiles and silver ware. This is a spacious store spread over two floors with an exclusive spa /beauty parlor on the 3rd floor called Blliis

The textile section on the ground floor has select handwoven saris and lehangas in Benarsi, Chanderi, Kanjivaram silk and Venkatgiri fabrics. They also have a pret line with tunics and salwar suits. In addition, there is a separate section for home décor products like bed spreads, cushions and table mats. Block prints, organza applique work and Kadi prints are some of the novel styles used in the home décor line of products. All the design and manufacturing is done in-house.

They can customize the garments and home décor items and take up turnkey interior design projects as well.

The silver ware section is on the first floor. There is a huge display of divinity items, dining and other display pieces in sterling silver. Each piece is uniquely designed and crafted. They have 200 master silversmiths working in their factories who have been trained by leading silversmiths from Holland, Germany and Switzerland. Also on display are silver plated articles. They undertake bulk orders for weddings and corporate gifting.

"This is one of the best Delhi shops for some exquisite carpets from Central Asia. If you are shopping in Delhi for rare carpets , you would do good to visit this store in the Shahpur Jat shopping market. A flight of stairs transports you to a world of oriental rugs. Wonderful carpets and rugs from Iran, Afghanistan, Samarkand, Uzbekistan and Kashmir. are all laid out. The breath-taking creations are sourced from village craftsmen in various countries. Unique, traditional patterns in vibrant colours like red, brown, crème, and black and white make the carpets stand out. Particularly spectacular are the kilims (flat tapestry woven carpets from the Balkans, normally used as decoratives or as prayer mats). Kilims are also used as floor carpets in Western countries these days. There is a good collection of carpets and kilims in wall-to-wall sizes as well as non-standard sizes to fit required spaces. The carpets are made of wool and silk. The prices are at Rs. 5,000 for very small rugs, Rs. 9,000 for a 3 by 4 feet carpet and Rs. 12,000 for the 4 by 6 feet carpet. The more expensive carpets bear prices that range from Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 2 lakh each. The prices depend on the material, size and antique value. Worn and antique carpets from various countries around the world are also restored and sold. The shop is big and well-lit and has been around for many years. The owners also have a smaller showroom close by . This is a basement shop for cushions, Indian dhurries, shaggy carpets and woollen carpets. These carpets are woven in the Indian e State of Uttar Pradesh. They cost anywhere from Rs5000 to Rs 10000/piece. In addition to the carpets, they stock some colourful poofs and floor cushions. They are colourful because of the colored threads used in the embroidery and the applique work that is done on the coverings of these pieces. These pieces are created in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The staff is friendly and pays attention to your needs and the owner is usually present to give you special guidance. You would find value for money in the products that you buy in this Delhi shop."
