Mysore Silk Factory
The silk products are manufactured in the factories located in Mysore and in Narasipura. KSIC manufactures silk fabrics from raw silk yarn. Raw mulberry silk is produced in five Indian states, of which Karnataka is one. Mysore silk is hence, very popular in the state. It is a very light and soft fabric as compared to the heavy Kanjivaram silk fabric. Furthermore Mysore silk sarees come in traditional designs and colors.
